Medivet Esher (Surrey) is a three vet, 4 nurse and 1.5 receptionists' clinic. The Branch Partner, Louise, has been qualified for 15 years, been a Branch Partner for 9 years and regularly mentors and trains new graduates and residents. Louise has a special interest in dentistry.

We have digital X-rays, small and large scopes, ultrasound, IM3 dental X-rays.

The clinic is custom built with lots of space, separate cat kennels (we are a silver standard cat clinic), two separate dog kennels, clean prep area and dirty prep area separated, isolation ward. Main driving force is teamwork and practicing gold standard veterinary medicine. We have high standards of care. I teach vets to value their time and expertise.
Esher is an affluent area, and our clients generally expect the best but also don’t mind paying for this. Very rarely are we not able to work up cases fully.
We have a high case load, but the day is managed to allow vets to work-up cases fully. 1 hour Lunch breaks scheduled into the diary.
There is also a stable, experienced and knowledgeable nursing team. The Head nurse been with us for 9 years.

Our clinic is very well organised, and we aim for exceptional service for our clients.

The role:
We are seeking a full time Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Esher.

The position would suit and experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys delivering a high level of patient and client care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to move on in their career and wants to see a high and varied case load. There is scope for further certified development for the right candidate.

You should be comfortable with routine GP work, have exceptional communication skills and the desire to practice to a very high level.
This role covers 39 hours a week over a 4 day week and is also part of a 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekend rota.

Salary and Benefits
A very competitive package of up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance
£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum or pro rata
5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays
VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
4 days working week

Skills and experience:
You must be a Veterinary Surgeon who is registered with the RCVS or in process of obtaining your registration
Branch:

Medivet Esher is located a 2 minute walk from Hinchley Wood station. Medivet Esher is a busy practice and has recently undergone a full refurbishment. We have the usual toys including ultrasound, digital x-rays/dental x-rays and endoscopy equipment etc. We have easy access to CT and MRI and certified orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeons for the more complex cases.

We have a well established team consisting of two full time vets (now seeking a third), two client care assistants, two RVNs and two VN students. We focus heavily on team work and creating a happy, supportive and progressive environment. We are a successful training practice and regularly mentor new graduates.
