Veterinary Surgeon opportunities nationwide including Greater London, Manchester, Kent, Derbyshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.
We’re investing in building the best place to work in the veterinary industry – bring your talent to Medivet and help us build it together.
We are growing and have already built a strong network of over 340 practices and 24 state-of-the-art 24-hour centres that are all home to a community of exceptional, passionate professionals. Our unique “hub and spoke” model enables collaborative working and ensures everyone is supported both clinically and emotionally. We actively support and encourage CPD to certificate level. All clinicians have access to a large support network of often multi-certificate holding veterinary surgeons, with considerable experience. In addition, you’ll have access to the latest diagnostic facilities, including advanced imaging within our main centres.
We have a broad range of clinics so it’s likely that we will have an opportunity that’s a perfect fit for you and your skills and, most importantly, that fits what you’re looking for.
We would love to hear from you if you have already gained valuable experience in small animal practice and are looking to join a group that will support your career progression and personal development as a clinician. We have amazing opportunities for veterinary surgeons like yourself. We also provide fantastic relocation packages that include accommodation and a vehicle or allowances, so the stress of moving and settling in the UK is quickly eased with the support of our dedicated teams.
We have various roles available to suit any vet at every stage of your career:
Veterinary Surgeons
Our Vets provide essential support to Lead Vets or Branch Partners in delivering care to clients and their pets. This includes covering days off, holidays and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) days, either at one practice or several practices in a local area as a Mobile Veterinary Surgeon.
Lead Veterinary Surgeons
Our Lead Vets are responsible for leading the practice and its staff in providing the very best care to clients and pets. You’ll also have an active interest in the running of the practice and be rewarded for its success.
Night Veterinary Surgeons
Our Night Vets help deliver out-of-hours care at one of our 24-hour emergency centres, providing pets with life-saving treatment and carefully monitoring them whenever they need it.
Branch Partners
As an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll also have the option of buying into an existing Medivet practice and becoming a Branch Partner. This allows you to part-own a practice and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business while continuing to deliver exceptional pet care.
Once you start working with Medivet, you will receive:
Top Salary
Up to £12,000 accommodation allowance
Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training
Fully paid RCVS, VDS and BVA fees
5 weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays
You will also benefit from a 4 day working week.
As an accredited A-rated sponsor, we can support your move to the UK and issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for Tier 2 (general) visas to Veterinary Surgeons.
Due to RCVS requirements we can only process applications from Universities which are EAEVE recognised. In Spain the following universities are currently accredited: Barcelona, Extremadura, Cordoba, Leon, Santiago de Compostela, Complutense Madrid, Murcia, Cardenal Herrera Valencia and Zaragoza.
